Pickleball Pizza Oven Party Today
EE pickleball participants will meet at Shade Tree Park
(right next to the pickleball courts) at 11:00
am. Bring a chair, your beverage of choice and
an uncooked pizza that you're willing to share. The
brick oven will be fired up and ready for baking.
EE HOA Board Meeting Today
The Board is scheduled to meet at the Ramada today at
1 pm. All homeowners are welcome to attend. The teeny tiny
agenda appears at the end of this MMMemo. Go ahead
scroll on down to see what might be of interest to
you.
Exterior Painting in Your Future?
Getting ready to spruce up your EE piece of heaven
with a new coat of paint? Before you order that
paint, READ House
Paint Colors & Complying with the CC&Rs .
Then call EE's Architectural Control team, Kevin
Welsh at 231-838-6851 or Howland Swift at 625-1380 to
start the ball rolling.
Coffee & Donuts
Start your day off with coffee and neighborly
conversation at our monthly complimentary coffee &
donuts on Wednesday, at 8:30 a.m. at
the Ramada. Thanks to hosts Tom
Cooke and Craig
Surprise.
Attention EE Gardeners
The group's next meeting will be March
22 at 9:15 at
the Ramada following the coffee and donut get
together. Volunteers will plant the Ramada garden
and it should only take about one hour. The
funds for the plantings are from EE license plate
sales and mesquite raffles. It is the last of the
planned activities for 2017 spring season. Everyone
is welcome to help.
EE Home Tour
The EE Home Tour is Sunday,
March 26th from 1:00 to 3:30. If
you purchased a ticket, you will need to bring it to
the Ramada at 1:00 to
exchange it for the brochure that tells you which
homes are on the tour.
For those of you who haven't purchased a ticket yet,
here's some motivation from a veteran Home Tour
attendee: "The most fun you will ever have in
Esperanza Estates is on our Home Tour. Since we
started this event back in 2004 it has been a
sell-out each of the past 6 tours, so be sure and
get your ticket soon. Your ticket entitles you to
wander through 10 especially selected homes in
Esperanza Estates where you will find motifs from
minimalist to southwest extravagant, and everything
in between, and talk with the owner. If you are
thinking about remodeling, this is a perfect
opportunity to get some ideas, and see things that
may work for you. The event culminates in a really
nice wine, snacks and cheese party at the Ramada
where you will have the opportunity to meet your
fellow tour-takers and exchange your experiences."
A few tickets remain, and they can be obtained by
calling Melodye Cooke, 336-8844;
Jane Ellingson, 625-7782;
or Louise McCabe, 445-6237. Tickets will also be sold at
Monday's Board meeting and Wednesday's Coffee &
Donuts. $15 for one ticket $25 for two.
You don't want to miss this Tour!
Book Selection Correction
The correct title of the book to be discussed by the Book Discussion Group
on April 4 is Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight.
So Long Solar Coils
If you could see the Ramada roof, you would notice
the new solar panels that replaced the old, leaking
coils. The panels heat the pool water as it
circulates through them on sunny days, saving us $$
on natural gas. Thanks to Tom Cooke
and Craig Surprise for
arranging for the new installation.
No Foolin'--Hazardous Waste Event on April 1
GVC (Green Valley Council) has announced its spring Haz Waste collection event, set for Saturday
morning, April 1.
E-mail Lisa Coker at GVC, coker@gvcouncil.org if
you'd like to be a volunteer at the event. Gather your
items if you've items to drop off.
